Ben Franklin Poor Richards Almanack
His almanac is generally described as a collection of witticisms Franklin published for entertainment which won its popularity based on the pithiness of the language alone.
What is not understood is it was anything but this. In fact it was a technical document that gave the exact locations of planets in the sky with an exact fixed location of Philadelphia so that those creating America could produce astrological charts that were as accurate as was possible. There were even eclipses and full moons given which were generally only of interest to an accomplished astrologer.
The implications are (a) Franklin was an accomplished astrologer; and (b) the founders were also.
The fact that Franklin became rich publishing it argues for Astrology being an integral part of the founding of America.
